The Ardèche region is in South East France, running down the right bank of the river Rhône and across to the West
towards Le Puy. The main towns are Privas, Annonay, Largentière,
Les Vans and Aubenas, but the area is best known for its miniature
Grand Canyon, the Gorges of the Ardèche river, with some
of the bests rapids canoeing and kayaking in Europe.
